About Us

The Dillon-Gavin School has been happily introducing young girls and boys to the joy of Irish Dance for over 10 years.  The school has two certified instructors, Bernadette Dillon-Gavin and Maureen Dillon-Yawger.

The focus and creed of the Dillon-Gavin School is to enrich our childrens heritage through the wonderful experience of Irish Dance. Dillon-Gavin has dancers at all levels, from beginner to champion.

We are a small school compared to many other Chicago area schools. This allows us to have a personal relationship with each of our dancers and their families.  We teach both recreational and competitive Irish Dance.  All our dancers are invitied to perform with us during the
St. Patricks Day season, participate in our annual spring recital, and march with us in local parades.

Our competitive dancers travel throughout North America and Ireland for feiseanna.  We work very hard with these dancers and we are proud of their success.  Our dancers have received top placings at the Midwest Regional Championships, the North American Irish Dance Championships, and have also recalled at the All-Ireland Dance Championships.

The Dillon-Gavin School invites students of all ages and interests to join classes on the Northwest side of Chicago.  We welcome both serious competitors and recreational dancers to our dance family!
